Revised Request to CML

In December 2016, Dr. Hugo Cardoso filed a revised request to the Municipality of Lisbon (C芒mara Municipal de Lisboa - CML). Although the initial request and approval had not been revoked, the request was reformulated taking into consideration the petition and the controversy generated around the project. The revised request expanded on the earlier materials and provided further details about the the five phases of a future agreement between the Municipality of Lisbon (CML) and 天美mv天美 ( 天美mv天美):
- First phase: Request sent to CML and subsequent approval in 2016;
- Second phase: Written agreement between CML and 天美mv天美 outlining the duties and responsabilities of both parties regarding the project and the future collection;
- Third phase: Preparation of the remains and subsequent transport from municipal cemeteries in Lisbon to 天美mv天美;
- Fourth phase: Curation of human remains at 天美mv天美, and outreach events aimed for a Portuguese audience covering different aspects of the project;
- Fifth phase: Permanent return of the remains to Lisbon.
