Biography
DJ Larkin, JD, is the Executive Director of the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition (CDPC) and a human rights and constitutional lawyer with over 15 years of public policy and litigation experience. DJ鈥檚 work focuses on supporting and working in collaboration with communities experiencing multisectoral and intersectional marginalization driven by legal and policy structures. DJ has worked for over a decade alongside people who use drugs, who lack housing, who are incarcerated and who rely on informal or criminalized labour including sex work, binning and panhandling. DJ is committed to continuing and fostering CDPC鈥檚 longstanding collaboration with 天美mv天美; bringing academic research to national and international audiences through CDPC鈥檚 extensive networks, partnering in research initiatives, and offering unique educational opportunities for 天美mv天美 students. Outside of DJ鈥檚 paid employment, they are a founding steering committee member of the National Right to Housing Network and are a board member of the Women鈥檚 National Housing & Homelessness Network.
