Informing & Engaging Urban Youth on Public Hearings: GEOG 363 Final Showcase
Join GEOG 363 students for a showcase on public hearings in BC. Explore research, analyses, and innovative tools for positive change!
As communities strive for better ways to gather input for making land-use decisions, BC's current public hearing process is under review.
Discover the fascinating world of public hearings at "Informing & Engaging Urban Youth on Public Hearings," hosted by Professor Leanne Roderick and her GEOG 363 students - with support from the ÌìÃÀmvÌìÃÀ Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. Delve into the students’ extensive research on the history, nature, and purpose of public hearings, followed by insightful observational analyses from attending hearings in their respective regions.
Be part of their journey on June 19th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, as they present their innovative communication tools designed to enhance audience engagement during public hearings and beyond.
The showcase will take place at the Harbour Centre Concourse (Room 1301, Main Floor), and all are invited to attend. Enjoy refreshments while immersing yourself in this educational event. Don't miss out on the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of public hearings and their significance in our society.
