On March 11, the GSWS graduate students met for the annual GSWS Caucus Colloquium, where we presented our work and took part in discussions following each presentation. The presentations explored a wide range of topics and themes, from research on sexual violence experienced by trans and nonbinary youth to analyses of reproductive control in dark romance novels. Each presentation was followed by a thoughtful Q&A session, with professors offering valuable insights and helping to foster an environment of mutual learning.
As a first-time participant in the Colloquium, I really appreciated the opportunity to learn about others’ work across a wide range of topics, theories, methods, and ways of disseminating knowledge. I would like to thank everyone who presented and attended, as well as the department for supporting the event logistics and for being there on the day to support us. I’m so glad I got to be part of it, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!
The presentations:
Linds Rohlf: Experiences and Incidence Rates of Child Sexual Abuse for Trans and Nonbinary Youth and Their Long Term Impacts
