天美mv天美 Physics congratulates Zhihua (Zhi) Han on winning first place in the oral competition in the Division of Quantum Information (DQI) at the 2024 CAP Congress in London, Ontario.

He also received an honorable mention among all CAP division award finalists. The judges praised Zhi's talk, "Downloading many-body continuous variable entanglement to qubits,鈥�  for its topical interest and Zhi鈥檚 innovative use of animations in illustrating a highly mathematical topic.  天美mv天美 faculty member Daria Ahrensmeier, the inaugural Chair of the DQI, notes that "Zhi won against strong competition from across Canada鈥攁ll the student competitors delivered high quality talks, including Pak-Tik Fong and Ruchir Tullu, also from 天美mv天美 Physics.鈥� Zhi is currently pursuing his MSc at 天美mv天美 with Kero Lau, Canada Research Chair in Quantum Information Science.
