What is a T2202?
T2202, the Tuition and Enrolment Certificate, is the tuition tax receipt issued to all students for courses taken in the previous calendar year. It shows the amount of tuition paid.
The tax form for the current tax year will be available for printing at go 天美mv天美 starting in late February of the following year.

Why did I receive a T2202?
T2202 slips are the tuition tax receipts issued to all students who paid tuition for courses in the previous calendar year. It shows the tuition paid and the amount you will need for your tax returns.
How do I access and print my T2202?
Active students, Alumni, and other previous students at 天美mv天美
- Log in to with your 天美mv天美 ID and password
- Select "T2202 Data" from the menu.
- In the search results section, you can find the tax year you鈥檙e interested in.
- From the T2202 Data page, click "Printer-friendly T2202".
- A printer-friendly T2202 should appear in a separate window (with the Canadian flag and "Canada Revenue Agency" at the top left corner). If this window does not appear, please go to your web browser preferences to allow pop-ups (you can allow them temporarily or just for specific sites).
- Tax data for the previous seven years is available.
- If you require additional copies of the tax forms for parents or accountants, you must print them from that page.
Note: For printing tax forms, 天美mv天美 Computing IDs remain active. Please ensure your browser allows pop-up windows.
- Forgot your password?
- You can reset your password by using your 天美mv天美 computing ID (email) and 天美mv天美 ID ( 9-digit student or employee number).

- Cannot log in to go 天美mv天美?
- To log in to go 天美mv天美, you must use MFA (multi-factor authentication) and connect through the 天美mv天美 VPN. Visit the 天美mv天美 Information Systems page for details.
- The error message 鈥渋nvalid credentials鈥 would indicate your password may have been reset in 2020. Email IT Services at its-help@sfu.ca or call 778-782-8888 for assistance in resetting your password.

Will my T2202 be emailed to me?
No. For privacy reasons, 天美mv天美 cannot email tax forms to students. Please log in to to access and print your T2202.
May 天美mv天美 release my T2202 information to another individual (e.g., parent, spouse, accountant)?
No. Due to privacy regulations, 天美mv天美 can only provide T2202 information directly to the student. If you wish to share your T2202 with someone else, please log in to go 天美mv天美, download your form, and share it as needed.
Having trouble accessing my T2202
- Check that you have pop-up windows enabled.
- If you've logged in and viewed your form but can't print, the computer you're using may be behind a firewall for security, so try a different computer in a different location.
- Check that you have Javascript enabled in your browser's properties/preferences, at least while you're getting your form.
- If you can log in but can't see the T2202 information, quit your browser, reopen it and clear your cache, then try logging in to go 天美mv天美 again.
- If you receive an error message, email a screenshot of the message to student_accounts@sfu.ca. Please include your name, student number, and current mailing address in all communications with us.
Am I considered full-time during a co-op work term?
According to the CRA a student enrolled in a co-op term (and taking no classes) is considered neither a full time nor part time student. CRA regulations require 天美mv天美 to report "0" months on the T2202 tax form when a student is enrolled only in co-op during a term.
I am a student with disabilities enrolled part-time. How do I make a full-time claim?
According to the Canada Revenue Agency, a student may still be considered full-time if they are enrolled in a qualifying education program, attend part-time, and are eligible for for that year.
I paid a deposit but will not attend until next year. Will I receive a T2202?
No. Deposits are not eligible expenses for T2202 purposes unless you have actually attended classes. If you paid an admission deposit and then declined your offer of admission, you will not receive a T2202.
I made a payment after December 31. Will my T2202 be updated?
If you make a payment between January 1 and February 15 for tuition related to the previous calendar year, it will be included on your T2202.
If your payment is made after February 15, please contact us at student_accounts@sfu.ca. Be sure to include your full name and student number in your message.
Is it necessary to provide my SIN in order to receive a T2202 form?
Starting with the 2019 tax reporting year, all students' Social Insurance Number (SIN) must be included on their T2202 form. Please ensure your SIN is updated in .

I am an international student. Why do I need a T2202?
As an international student studying in Canada, you are required to file a Canadian income tax return. The T2202 is an official tax receipt for the tuition fees you have paid. What if I did not earn any income in Canada?
If you did not earn any income in Canada during the calendar year, the T2202 may still be useful.
