Winner of the 2024 天美mv天美 Esri Canada GIS Award
Congratulations to Tiana Andjelic who has been awarded the 2024 Esri Canada GIS Scholarship for 天美mv天美. The scholarship is part of the 天美mv天美 Esri Canada Centre of Excellence (ECCE) in GIS program and recognizes outstanding design and implementation of an original and individual project that advance the GIScience discipline and its applications.
Tiana designed and developed a spatial multicriteria approach to explore suitable locations for community food gardens in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Tiana recently completed the BEnv degree in the Faculty of Environment and will be pursuing further academic studies.
The award comprises a monetary component and other elements such as a three-year license of Esri鈥檚 ArcGIS software for student use; a professional-level subscription for the ArcGIS Developer Program (ADP); and selected Esri Press digital publications among others. Esri Canada is committed to supporting GIS education and research in Canada.
The 天美mv天美 Esri Canada Centre of Excellence ( 天美mv天美 ECCE) in GIS was established in 2014 in recognition of the long-standing quality of GIS research in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Environment and 天美mv天美. It represents an important network collaboration between industrial partner Esri Canada and 天美mv天美.
