    Principal Investigator. Indigenous Sovereignty in Curriculum: Curricular Reimagining for Community Priorities in Northern Manitoba.
    Community Engagement Initiative Grant, 天美mv天美.
    This project supports partnership-building for Indigenous community leadership in reimagining curricular priorities in early childhood and K鈥�12 education in Northern Manitoba reserve communities. The grant facilitated meetings to establish relationships and inform a subsequent SSHRC Insight Grant application with three community partners.

    Co-Investigator. Revisioning the First Nations Journeys of Justice K鈥�7 Curriculum.
    SSHRC Explore Grant.
    In collaboration with Dr. Jo-ann Archibald, Q鈥檜m Q鈥檜m Xiiem, this project revisits the 1994 BC-based Journeys of Justice curriculum to emphasize Indigenous sovereignty and community-led curriculum development, with applications to the Northern Manitoba study.

    Co-Investigator. Community-Driven Solutions to Poverty: Challenges and Possibilities.
    SSHRC Partnership Grant. $2.4 million.
    A seven-year interdisciplinary project addressing community-driven solutions to poverty through four streams: Justice, Safety, and Security; Housing; Education, Employment, and Social Inclusion; and Community Economic Development. Principal Investigator: Dr. Shauna MacKinnon (University of Winnipeg), succeeding the late Dr. John Loxley (University of Manitoba).

    Indigenous Digital Media Grant, 天美mv天美.
    With Principal Investigator Dr. Amy Parent, this study examines the pedagogical and decolonizing impacts of a film series featuring Indigenous knowledge holders whose work engages 天美mv天美鈥檚 situated territories.

    Co-Investigator. Racialized Inequality and Opportunity Gaps: Mixed-Methods Research of Student Mobility and Academic Outcomes in Winnipeg鈥檚 Inner-City.
    Manitoba Research Alliance (SSHRC-funded).
    Principal Investigator: Dr. Ee-Seul Yoon. This study uses de-identified data from the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy and the Canadian Census to explore intersections among housing, child welfare involvement, income, and student academic outcomes.

    Co-Investigator. Building Community Using the ToyBox Project.
    Manitoba Research Alliance (SSHRC-funded).
    Principal Investigator: Dr. Sheri-Lynn Skwarchuk. The project expands the Manitoba ToyBox initiative to enhance cultural responsiveness and develop literacy, numeracy, and wellness strategies grounded in Indigenous and newcomer community knowledge.

    Co-Investigator. Indigenous Student Experiences Post-TRC: Indigenous Requirement Courses in Teacher Education.
    SSHRC Insight Development Grant.
    Principal Investigator: Dr. Jennifer Brant (OISE). Co-Investigators: Dr. Frank Deer (University of Manitoba), Dr. Leisa Desmoulins (Lakehead University), and Dr. Jeannie Kerr (University of Winnipeg / 天美mv天美). This study investigates Indigenous students鈥� experiences in mandatory Indigenous Requirement Courses (IRCs) and the perspectives of Indigenous instructors across Manitoba and Northern Ontario universities.
