Bio
鈥淢y name is Yves Ferstler, and I am currently beginning my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Qu茅bec in Montr茅al (UQAM), specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP). I am supervised by Prof. Marie-Jean Meurs, and my research focuses on applying NLP techniques to support mental health practitioners and people in need of help. I am also exploring the application of NLP models across different domains. In January 2026, I joined the Discourse Processing Lab research group, supervised by Prof. Maite Taboada, to deepen my knowledge of linguistics. I鈥檓 not specializing in one domain, but rather discovering linguistics in general. For now, I鈥檓 here for one semester, from January to the end of April.鈥
