SIAT end-of-term showcases are back! Find out about the showcases below and join us to see some of the interesting and diverse projects created by SIAT students throughout the Fall 2022 semester.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH
IAT 313 Narrative and New Media
Location: SRYE 2030
Time: 10:00am-12:30pm
IAT 313 Narrative and New Media student teams wrote scripts and then adapted these stories to a media of their choice. Projects include graphic novels, games, 3D animations, digital stories, films, and tabletop RPGs, among others. In the course, we have looked at interaction and engagement with media through the lens of narrative.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1ST
IAT 445 Immersive Environments
Location: Mezzanine
Time: 2:00pm-6:00pm
Students from IAT 445 will be showcasing their interactive and immersive projects. Throughout the course, students designed, created, and refined deeply engaging immersive experiences that guests will be able to explore at the final showcase. The virtual reality applications were designed to provide users with meaningful and transformative immersive experiences for making positive impacts on society.

IAT 222 Interactive Arts
Location: SRYC Mezzanine, SRYC 3010, SRYC 3040
Time: 12:00-4:30pm
Students will be presenting a variety of interactive experiences and art projects.
Monday, December 5th
IAT 267 Introduction to Technological Systems
Location: SRYC Mezzanine
Time: 12:30-2:30pm
Students will present their course projects featuring a variety of interactive systems, including but not limited to educational toys and games, interactive sculptures, smart home devices, health monitoring, and robotics.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6TH
IAT 359 Mobile Computing
Location: SRYC 2740
Time: 3:00-7:00pm
The IAT 359 Mobile Computing showcase will include a wide range of interactive Android applications developed by students over the course of the term. These applications explore new directions in mobile computing, covering topics from navigation to astronomy to fitness and beyond! Drop by at any time between 3-5PM to see projects from section D101, or 5-7PM to see projects from section D102.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7TH
IAT 202 New Media Images
Location: SRYE 1002 (new Sustainable Engineering Building)
Time: 3:00-7:00pm
The IAT 202 showcase will be a screening of short films created by students. Awards will be presented after the screening and the audience will have the opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award!
Friday, December 9th
IAT 410 Advanced Game Design
Location: SRYC 3050
Time: 10:30am-12:30pm
Throughout the semester, students from IAT 410 designed and developed a variety of electronic games, culminating in an advanced game project. They will continue to analyze the experience of play within the game, and the connections between the game experience and broader cultural phenomena. On December 9th, students will be showcasing electronic games that they designed and developed throughout the semester.
IAT 344 Moving Images
Location: SRYE 1002
Time: 11:30am-3:00pm
Students will be screening short films created throughout the semester focusing on a wide range of topics and themes.
