Retired and Still Rolling
Cycling Across Canada
2004
At age 65, Loreeta and Marvin Wideen decide to celebrate retirement by fulfilling a dream to cycle across Canada. As they view the country from their bicycle seats, they rediscover the nation and its people. They gain insights into everyday small-town life and find kinship with other cyclists and characters they meet along the way. Their adventure challenges the stereotypical view of retirement as a time to slow down and adopt a life of ease.
