Congratulations! 's Maiko Yamamoto and James Long, both SCA alumni and frequent SCA instructors, have won the 2019 , the first time it's been awarded to a collaborative group for "director."
Siminovitch Prize for Theatre, the largest theatre prize in Canada, awards $100,000 to the recipients, $25,000 of which was given to a "Prot茅g茅" of the recipients' choice. For their prize, Yamamoto and Long choose fellow SCA alumni and current artist-in-residence at Theatre Replacement, , who's a "Vancouver-based director, performer, writer, creator, and a member of , an ongoing and dedicated interdisciplinary collaboration with (SCA alumni) Nancy Tam and Daniel O鈥橲hea."
